Perseid Meteor Shower
The annual Perseids are usually Earth's best meteor shower. They are the most reliable every year after midnight in the morning of each August 12th. Seeing any shower is best after midnight because the Earth rotates into the meteors speeding up their collision into our air brightening them. Our atmosphere protects us from space's flying debris 24/7. This year, however, the Moon rises after midnight brightening the sky making seeing the dim shooting stars difficult. Try to catch them between 10pm and 12am tonight and just look up everywhere in the sky and never blink. 😉 It's best to get to dark skies though where it should be a good show. (I'm a little biased towards these annual fireworks because they coincide with the place around the Sun when I started breathing on my own in 1964.) 😊✨💫
